Most recent ARTMob: Pecha Kucha Night (June 9, 2011)
Back by popular demand, ARTMob returns to the Pack Place Promenade on Thursday, June 9, with the second installment Pecha Kucha, which means "chit chat" in Japanese. Pecha Kucha is part of a global phenomenon originating among architects and designers in Japan who used a unique method to share their work and inspiration with other designers in a brief, summary format.
As the fourth Pecha Kucha event to take place in Asheville, and the second time to be presented in Pack Place, the Museum is pleased to provide this unique forum where artists and amateurs will come together, allowing each presenter to share 20 slides for 20 seconds each. Anything goes--from the mundane to professional works of art--in this one-of-a-kind event designed to delight and inspire audience members' creativity and imagination.
Admission is $5 for Museum Members and $7 for non-Members. Local food and beverages will be provided at this happening event. You don't have to be a presenter to participate, but you are expected to have an awesome time! Join us in the Pack Place Promenade Lobby on June 9th at 7:00 p.m. for this exciting ARTMob event! For more information, please contact Nancy Sokolove, Adult Programs Manager, at 828.253.3227 ext. 120 or nsokolove@ashevilleart.org. Other Past Events:
