trunkshow01

The Museum Shop is happy to feature jewelry designer Gayle Ray as the October Artist-of-the-Month. Gayle’s jewelry is created with an eye to unique color and texture combinations. Semi precious stones, sterling silver, soft flex wire and blessings are combined to create unique pieces with the intention of bringing peace and harmony to those that experience it.
For more information on the many more items available at the Museum Shop, please contact Erika McClintock or Laila Boggs at 828.253.3227 ext. 110.

Art Nouveaux PDF Print E-mail
artnouveaux4.26Modeled after the successful Collectors' Circle, but for the new-to-collecting set, the Art Nouveaux are Museum Members interested in learning more about collecting art, art connoisseurship, meeting fellow art enthusiasts and more.

The group also supports the development and stewardship of the Asheville Art Museum’s permanent collection through annual purchase of a work of art for the Museum.

On November 5, 2007 the Art Nouveaux held their inaugural Purchase Party and voted to acquire three works: Battle Zone by Anne M. Lemanski; Pitcher by Oscar Louis Bachelder and Peggy’s Cake Shop, West Munroe, Louisiana, April 1985 by Alex Harris.

Through the generosity of Ray Griffin, the Museum also acquired Pinky Bass’s Barbed Wire I in honor of the Art Nouveaux and Thom Robinson.

On April 7, the group explored print collecting through examples from the Museum’s collection and discussion with passionate print collectors.

Please contact Rebecca Lynch-Maass, Membership Manager & Development Associate at 253-3227, ext. 114 with any questions or join online .
