Gayle Ray

The Museum Shop is happy to feature jewelry designer Gayle Ray as the October Artist-of-the-Month. Gayle’s jewelry is created with an eye to unique color and texture combinations. Semi precious stones, sterling silver, soft flex wire and blessings are combined to create unique pieces with the intention of bringing peace and harmony to those that experience it.

The Asheville Art Museum provides programs throughout the year for parents and children. Parents - get on our mailing list and be the first to find out about the Museum's upcoming programs! Call the Education Department at (828) 253-3227 ext. 121 or 122. 

Seasonal family days are offered 2 to 3 times a year in conjunction with the Museum's exhibitions. Parents and children of all ages are invited to tour the current exhibition, try a hands-on studio project, and enjoy refreshments.

Homeschool
A monthly program developed especially for home school parents and children. Each 90-minute home school session includes a guided tour of the Museum's permanent collection or a special exhibition, plus a hands-on activity in the Museum's studio.

Art Camp
Holiday Art Camp (Holiday Arts Extravaganza)
Students in first through fourth grades can spend their winter break exploring and creating mixed media forms of art including printmaking, drawing, painting and sculpture at the Museum December 27th - December 30th, 2011. For information, contact the Education Department at 828.253.3227 ext. 122.

Summer Art Camp
Campers spend their summer days in the Art Museum's studio with talented art instructors exploring and creating art of various media. Pre-registration is required. You may sign up for All-Day sessions or choose from a variety of Half-Day sessions.

After-School Classes
The Asheville Art Museum is teaming up with local schools to host after-school classes this Fall. There are several exciting programs to choose from.
