Gayle Ray

The Museum Shop is happy to feature jewelry designer Gayle Ray as the October Artist-of-the-Month. Gayle’s jewelry is created with an eye to unique color and texture combinations. Semi precious stones, sterling silver, soft flex wire and blessings are combined to create unique pieces with the intention of bringing peace and harmony to those that experience it.

Explore + Experiment with Printmaking

For Students in Grades 6 – 8

September 7 –  December 7, 2011 (No class November 23)

Wednesdays, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. 

$60 Per student for Fall Session

 

Classes are held in the Museum’s WNC Art Resource Center. Drawing inspiration from artwork on view at the Asheville Art Museum, students will explore the exciting process and limitless possibilities of printmaking. Beginning with original drawings we will experiment with relief printing, monoprinting, stenciling and silk screening. All materials necessary for the class are included.
