The "Discovering Art" packet is written for K-12th grade teachers in any subject area. This educational guide is designed in conjunction with the "Discovering Art Tour" to help teachers encourage students to become engaged in visual art and to make the most of their visit to the Asheville Art Museum through pre- and post- visit lesson plans which includes a set of color poster images from the Asheville Art Museum's Permanent Collection. The packet can be used with any of our tours so be sure to ask for the "Discovering Art Packet" when you make a reservation.

One chaperone for every ten students is requested and will be admitted free. Teachers, parents and bus drivers are considered as chaperones. Chaperones are expected to stay with their group at all times and are responsible for ensuring appropriate behavior from their group.
