Art Break: Make It Speak: Stories from the Vault« Back to Events
Drop in to one of our lunchtime Art Breaks. These informal gallery talks and presentations both inform and engage you in dialogue with our curatorial and education staff, docents, or special guests.
MAY 18 (Wednesday)
Make It Speak: Stories from the Vault
As we undertake the processes of inventory, packing, and moving before our expansion, staff members are making new discoveries about the Museum’s collection every day. In this series, curators, educators, and special guests tell tales of connoisseurship, conservation, collecting, and conundrums as we delve into the recesses of our storage vaults. Check back here the Monday before each talk for up-to-the-minute information.
For this Art Break, Assistant Curator Carolyn Grosch pulls a variety of works from the vault that highlight the Museum’s important collection of Black Mountain College art and artists.
