John Cage: I Have Nothing to Say and I Am Saying It
Saturday, January 5 + Sunday, January 6 | 2:00 p.m. daily
Free with membership or Museum admission
Experimental composer, writer, philosopher and visual artist John Cage once said, “I can’t understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I’m frightened of the old ones.” Born 100 years ago this year, Cage’s influence on conceptual modern visual and performance art is immeasurable. This film by Allan Miller and Vivian Perlis features interviews of Yoko Ono and dancer/choreographer Merce Cunningham. This film screening is held in conjunction with the exhibition Flux Cuts: Experiments in Film.
