Sunday, November 24 in the Museum’s East Wing (New Media Gallery) at 1:00 p.m.

The Museum is delighted to host Black Mountain College scholar and author Eva Diaz, who will discuss the history of the College and the many of the artists and works currently featured in Lasting Gifts. Diaz, who is an Art History professor at Pratt Institute in New York, is a regular contributor to Artforum magazine. Diaz is also the author of the upcoming book, The Experimenters, which focuses on three notable Black Mountain College teachers from the late 1940s and early 1950s including Josef Albers, John Cage and Buckminster Fuller.

This special discussion is made possible in part through grant support from the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide non-profit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
