(Cancelled): June 2 Filmmaking Workshop with Charlotte Taylor« Back to Events
We regret to announce that this weekend’s previously-scheduled Film-Making Workshop has been cancelled.
In this workshop, participants will learn the art of hand-painted cinema, creating their own handmade, hand-painted direct animation on 16mm film. Using inks, markers, acetate, found objects, scratches, glitter, nail polish and other materials, workshop participants will learn a variety of techniques and will leave the workshop with their very own short animation. Films will be projected to the public on June 8 + 9, and workshop students will be given their 16mm films as well as a digital transfer of all animations created during the workshop.
All necessary materials for this workshop will be provided and are included in the class cost. Audiences of all ages, including children, are welcome to participate; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Advance registration is required; please register by contacting the Museum’s front desk at 828.253.3227. This program is held as a prelude to the upcoming exhibition Experiments in Animation, opening Tuesday, June 4.
