The History and Process of My Collaboration with Susan Weil

Please join us for a lecture and presentation with artist José Betancourt. Betancourt is Associate Professor of photography at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. For the past ten years, he has worked closely with artist Susan Weil to develop ways of printing and presenting a body of artwork based on the cyanotype, also known as the photographic “blueprint.”  He will be discussing his collaborative work with Weil, which ranges from personal and autobiographical to formal constructions.

Held in conjunction with Blueprints: A Collaboration.
