Legacy: The Emily Fisher Landau Collection is a traveling exhibition curated and organized by The Whitney Museum of American Art. This exhibition features a wide selection of art works from a historic gift pledged to The Whitney in 2010 by longtime trustee Emily Fisher Landau. This exhibition includes more than eighty works from Landau’s collection of 419 works by nearly one hundred key figures in American art, including seminal works by artists such as Carl Andre and Agnes Martin, John McLaughlin, Rodney Graham, Joseph Kosuth, Martin Puryear and Al Taylor. Another section of the exhibition includes paintings by artists such as John Baldessari, Barbara Kruger, Mark Tansey, Peter Cain, Susan Rothenberg, Willem de Kooning and Cy Twombly.
This exhibition will be celebrated with an Opening Reception on the evening of Saturday, July 13, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. (free with membership or regular museum admission).
