SUMMER ART CAMP 2018

Join the Asheville Art Museum for Summer Art Camp! Summer Art Camp is offered to rising K – 12th grade students. All classes are age appropriate. Sessions may include drawing, painting, sculpture, puppetry, mask-making, and more.

Enrollment is limited, and pre-registration is required. Registration includes admission to the Museum and all materials necessary for each class. Students may sign up for morning, afternoon, or all-day sessions. All-day students will have a supervised lunch break.

Classes are held in the studio at the Museum On the Slope, our temporary location located at 175 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville 28801.

Cost (5-day sessions): $100 Museum members, $110 non-members for morning only or afternoon only sessions; $175 Museum members, $195 non-members for all-day (morning + afternoon) sessions. Financial aid is available; for more information, call 828.253.3227 x124.

  • Morning (9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.): Drawing, Working with Line: Using line as a principle means of visual expression, students explore contour, gesture, and movement drawing using a variety of media such as pencil, marker, charcoal, and drawing pens.
