Preserving Prime Farmland for Current and Future Generations with William Hamilton

SEPTEMBER 24 – Thursday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
East Wing | New Media Gallery

William Hamilton will join us to discuss the cultural significance of agriculture in Western North Carolina, the changing landscape and strategies and techniques employed by the land trust for the protection of prime farmland. Mr. Hamilton grew up at Hickory Nut Gap Farm and lives there now with his wife Molly and four children. He has been on the staff of the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy serving as the Farmland Program Director since 2005.

This event is held in conjunction with Heritage and Home: Photographs of Hickory Nut Gap Farm.
