Tale of the Three Jewels

His father incarcerated by Israeli forces, 12-yearold Yusef (Mohammed Nahnal) lives a hardscrabble life on the Gaza Strip with his mother and brother. When he meets gypsy girl Aida (Hana’ Nc’mch) and falls for her, she asks him to find three jewels missing from a necklace. Yusef sets off on a mystical adventure that teaches him some important life lessons. This touching drama was an Official Selection of the 1995 Cannes Film Festival. Rated: NR. 107 minutes.
