One of the first animation artists, Winsor McCay, helped create the animation industry by producing his popular animated comic strips in the early 20th century, beginning with Little Nemo (1911) and Gertie the Dinosaur (1914). This collection of McCay’s films provides a fascinating glimpse of early animation in America.

Held in conjunction with the exhibition Experiments in Animation.
