CLASSES, WORKSHOPS + TRIPS FOR ADULTS
The Museum offers behind-the-scenes classes, hands-on workshops, and educational excursions for adults. Classes, designed for anyone interested in learning more about specific topics, explore art and the art world. Local and visiting artists help students of all levels and abilities develop skills in media that reflect techniques and themes featured in special exhibitions and the Museum’s collection. Trips visit destinations near and far to enhance understanding and deepen experiences with art.
Moving Voices: An Exploration of the Power of Our Voice through Movement
MAY 21 – Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Cost: $25 Museum Members, $35 non-members
Meet at Asheville School’s Graham Theater (360 Asheville School Road, Asheville 28806)
Participants in this two-hour workshop explore the creative power of our voice as it lives within the body, and movement associated with our actions and choices. Through a guided process, movers of all levels investigate questions inspired by Hear Our Voice and create collaboratively.
Kathleen Meyers Leiner is a dancer, choreographer, and interdisciplinary artist who has taught and created movement work over the past 40 years.
