Richard Wilt

Richard Wilt (1915 - 1981) was born in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. He taught art at the University of Michigan from 1948 to 1980. He graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie-Mellon University) in 1938. Wilt was a pilot in World War II and, after flying 55 missions, he returned to the United States and was stationed near Greenville, South Carolina, where he trained new pilots.
