Agnes Welch

Agnes Welch (1925 - ) is a Cherokee basket weaver and known for her white oak baskets. Welch developed her passion for basket weaving as a child under the guide of Lottie Stamper, a Cherokee basket weaver and educator. At the age of 12, Welch had made her first basket and was hooked to the art.
