After-School Drawing Class for 4th – 8th Grade Students
After-School Drawing Class for 4th – 8th Grade Students: Everyone Can Draw WHEN: Tuesday afternoons, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Winter Session: January 27 – March 3, 2009
COST: $50 per session for Members. $60 per session for non-Members Pre-registration is required; financial aid is available. WHO: Students in grades 4 - 8 are invited to apply. There is no need for previous art experience and beginners are welcome. Financial aid is available by calling 828.253.3227, ext. 122 and requesting an application form. WHAT: It is a myth that artists are born and not made. Anyone at any age can learn basic drawing skills and have a creative experience. In each six-week session students will build their confidence with a wide range of materials and learn usable tricks of the trade. Classes are held in the Asheville Art Museum's WNC Art Resource Center's studio. Visits to the Museum's permanent collection and special exhibitions and all materials necessary for the class are included. HOW TO APPLY: Pre-registration is required.
