ASHEVILLE, NC — The Asheville Art Museum, with generous support from MetLife Foundation and a partnership with the Buncombe County Public Libraries, is proud to announce the creation of the smArt Speak: Distinguished Artist Series which will bring Christo and Jeanne-Claude, the Guerrilla Girls, Faith Ringgold and Art Spiegelman to Asheville.

Welcome to the Asheville Art Museum!

The Asheville Art Museum annually presents an exciting, inviting and active schedule of exhibitions and public programs based on its permanent collection of 20th and 21st century American art. Any visit will also include experiences with works of significance to Western North Carolina’s cultural heritage including Studio Craft, Black Mountain College and Cherokee artists. Special exhibitions feature renowned regional and national artists and explore issues of enduring interest. The Museum also offers a wide array of innovative, inspiring and entertaining educational programs for people of all ages.

ASHEVILLE, NC — Friends of the Museum and downtown residents will open the doors of their homes on Thursday, May 29 for the 2008 Asheville Art Museum Urban Loft + Art Tour.

 

 
Summer Art Camp enrollment
ASHEVILLE — Arts education does not have to go on summer hiatus. The Asheville Art Museum is offering Summer Art Camps to rising kindergarten through 12th grade students June 9 — August 1, 2008.

Enrollment is limited and pre-registration is required.
