This 1992 romantic epic film starring Daniel Day-Lewis takes
place during the French and Indian War. It was partly filmed in Western North
Carolina's Chimney
Rock Park
and many Cherokee residents were extras in the film. Based on James Fenimore
Cooper's 1826 novel, it's a classic!
Held in conjunction with the
exhibition Cherokee Carvers: Tradition Renewed.
