Rising 3rd - 5th Graders

The Asheville Art Museum offers Summer Art Camp to rising Kindergarten through 12th grade students. Enrollment is limited and pre-registration is required. Registration includes admission to the Museum and all materials necessary for each class. Classes are held in the bright and spacious studio of the Museum's WNC Art Resource Center. Each class will visit the Museum's galleries to inspire creativity. Students may sign up for morning, afternoon or all-day sessions. All-day students will have a supervised lunch break.

JUNE 28 - JULY 2

Rising 3rd - 5th Graders

Morning Session: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. CARTOONING IS COOL

Students will learn the basic mechanics of drawing strip and single-frame cartoons to create several finished and ready-to-be-published cartoon works.

Afternoon Session: 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. 3-D ADVENTURE

Students will explore the expressive potential when creating in three dimensions using a variety of techniques and styles to create finished sculptures.
