Rising 9th - 12th Graders

The Asheville Art Museum offers Summer Art Camp to rising Kindergarten through 12th grade students. Enrollment is limited and pre-registration is required. Registration includes admission to the Museum and all materials necessary for each class. Classes are held in the bright and spacious studio of the Museum's WNC Art Resource Center. Each class will visit the Museum's galleries to inspire creativity. Students may sign up for morning, afternoon or all-day sessions. All-day students will have a supervised lunch break.

JULY 19 - 23

Rising 9th - 12th Graders

Morning Session: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. VISUAL JOURNALING WITH MIXED MEDIA

Students use pen, pencil, paint and collage to create richly layered visual journals filled with inspiration and finished pieces. Students will gain observational and technical skills.

Afternoon Session: 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. SCULPTURE

Students will create preparatory sketches for studio projects and strengthen technical skills working with wire, wood and paper maché.
