Rising 6th - 8th Graders

The Asheville Art Museum offers Summer Art Camp to rising Kindergarten through 12th grade students. Enrollment is limited and pre-registration is required. Registration includes admission to the Museum and all materials necessary for each class. Classes are held in the bright and spacious studio of the Museum's WNC Art Resource Center. Each class will visit the Museum's galleries to inspire creativity. Students may sign up for morning, afternoon or all-day sessions. All-day students will have a supervised lunch break.

JULY 26 - 30

Rising 6th - 8th Graders

Morning Session: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. DRAWING + PAINTING

Students will explore various techniques and applications of drawing and painting media such as graphite, pastel, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic.

Afternoon Session: 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. EXPLORE + EXPERIMENT

Students will experiment with a range of materials and explore the endless possibilities when combining media such as collage, printmaking and encaustic painting.
