Pack Place Community Gallery

In celebration of both Earth Day and the exhibition Time is of the Essence: Contemporary Landscape Art, the Museum’s education staff has collaborated with RiverLink and photographer Jeff Rich to offer a special project in Pack Place Community Gallery.

mitch_mike_2_copy A River of Words and Art features student work from RiverLink’s local art & writing competition for kindergarten - 12th grade classes and the Watershed  series of photographs by Jeff Rich that documents the people and places of the French Broad River Basin.

This free community exhibition will be on display from April 2 – May 4, 2008.

On Saturday, April 19, a public reception will be hosted by the Museum and RiverLink from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. and will include student awards and recognition, as well as a 2:00 p.m. presentation by Riverkeeper Hartwell Carson on the state of the French Broad River.
