The Achilles Teacher Resource Center, located within the Asheville Art Museum, is available for teachers of all grade and subject levels. The resource center has a wide range of materials about art, art history and art techniques. These materials include books, videotapes, slides and poster sets. The Asheville Art Museum has been designated an affiliate site for the circulation of education resource materials developed by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Over 100 videotapes and slide sets from the NGA are housed in the Achilles Teacher Resource Center.

The Resource Center is open Tuesday through Friday by appointment. Teachers can use the Resource Center free of charge, check out materials and use them in their classroom for three weeks before returning them to the Museum. To make an appointment, contact the Education Department at 828.253.3227 ext 121 or 122.
