In this four-part class, discover sculptural concepts and processes with a focus on hands-on learning, critical thinking, and group dialogue. Through gallery visits and slide discussions, working sessions, and critiques, develop foundational skills in three-dimensional art and expand upon them in a fun-filled, non-competitive environment.
Instructor David Shurbutt is an art and museum worker. He holds an undergraduate degree in studio art and graduate degrees in media arts and fine art. His creative output is interdisciplinary in the metamodern tradition.
Adult Studio
Local and visiting artists help students of all levels and abilities develop skills in media that reflect techniques and themes featured in the Museum’s Collection and special exhibitions. Classes are designed for anyone interested in exploring specific media in depth or introduce new media and processes.
Refund policy for Adult Studio: Unless otherwise noted, refunds for ticketed/paid adult programs will be made if a request is submitted in writing at least two weeks before the scheduled program.
