G. Thomas Hammond

Gale Thomas Hammond (09/27/1939- )  is a printmaker, draughtsman and painter.  In 1968 he earned the Thalheimer Award at the Winston-Salem Juried Show.  Hammond has participated in over 300 exhibitions at museums and galleries all over the world, including the Metropolitan Museum, the Italian Embassy in Washington D.C., the Kyoto Japan International Cartoon Festival, the Taipei Museum of Art in China, and St. Johns Museum in Wilmington.  His work is included in the collections of the Royal Museum of Art in Belgium, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the North Carolina Museum of Art, and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington among several others.
