Join us for a delightful afternoon discovering some of the healing qualities of flowering plants. After a private tour of the exhibition Flora Symbolica: the Art of Flowers, we will learn about and work with several different kinds of flowers. You’ll discover the process of harnessing their restorative benefits in an herbal salve, infused water, and hydrosols. We will enjoy herbal tea and cookies together, and you will leave this gathering with an herbal infused salve that you crafted, a hand-blended herbal tea, a hydrosol of your choosing, and hopefully an even deeper love for our plant friends.
Greta Aguirre has studied herbal medicine for more than fifteen years. She is the creator of SOIL is Love, a botanical skincare line, made from the medicinal plants she grows and distills on Western North Carolina farmland.
