JUNE 3, 10, 17, & 24—Wednesdays, 6–8pm
Registration deadline: June 2
In this four-part class, explore ways to visualize narratives and tell stories using digital photography! Through a series of weekly assignments, create sequences of images that tell a story or express a narrative based on text, fiction, and personal experiences or perspectives. Use images from the Museum’s Collection and other sources for inspiration. Class time includes instruction, journaling, group shares, and discussions; individual preparation between classes includes responding to weekly photo prompts and short readings
This virtual class is designed with beginners, hobbyists, and those with some photography experience in mind. Previous knowledge of digital photography is not needed to participate in and/or benefit from the class. Students need:
- Digital camera (e.g. digital SLR, point-and-shoot, or smartphone)
- Access to a device with an Internet connection (e.g. desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone); webcam for class meetings optional
- Email (to send photos to instructor)

Adult Studio
The Museum's studio program for adults offers a core curriculum in drawing, painting, printmaking, and three-dimensional media, and also explores the intersections between them. Local and visiting artists help students of all levels and abilities develop skills in media that reflect techniques and themes featured in the Museum’s Collection and special exhibitions. Classes meet for 3–12 weeks, and are designed for anyone interested in exploring specific media in depth; daylong workshops introduce new media or processes.
