Drawing + Painting the Self: Students view and discuss examples of self-portraiture throughout art history before creating their own. Students use drawing methods, then painting, to create self-portraits that represent who they are now. Students learn and practice drawing proportions of the face, shading, and mixing skin tones with paint to create representational self-portraits.
