Week 2 | June 14–18 | Grades 3–5 | All Day
Exploring Sky and Space: Blast off into a week of adventures! Discover the vastness of space, and practice thinking like an engineer and an artist to explore the extraterrestrial. Students spend half of their day at the Asheville Art Museum creating art inspired by space; and the other half of their day at the Asheville Museum of Science investigating hands-on activities and challenges, and have a chance to use an open dome to view earth from a new perspective.
Please note:
- Summer Art Camp is held primarily indoors in the Museum’s John & Robyn Horn Education Center and the Asheville Museum of Science. Staff will escort students between museums.
- Space is limited to small groups of students; face coverings, social distancing, and frequent hand-washing/sanitization are required.
Presented in partnership with Asheville Museum of Science, in conjunction with Meeting the Moon.
