Week 2 | June 20–June 24 | Grades 3–5 | Afternoon

Funky Art: Students will have fun while sharpening skills and broadening their artistic horizons.  Students will explore a variety of unusual materials to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional works of art.

Please note:

  • Summer Art Camp is held primarily indoors in the Museum’s John & Robyn Horn Education Center.
  • Space is limited to small groups of students; face coverings, social distancing, and frequent hand-washing/sanitization are required.
  • Students can register for morning only, afternoon only, or all-day sessions. All-day camp includes a 1-hour supervised lunch break.

Summer Art Camp 2025

Registration will open March 3, 2025

Join us at the Museum for Summer Art Camp! Offered to rising K–12th grade students. All classes are age appropriate. Enrollment is limited, and registration is required. Registration includes Museum admission for campers and all materials necessary for each class. Classes are offered weekly June 16–August 11, 2025. Morning (9am–noon) and Afternoon (1–4pm) sessions are offered each week of camp. Students may sign up for both morning and afternoon and stay for both sessions.

  • Week 1: June 16–20 (Rising K–2nd grade)
  • Week 2: June 23–27 (Rising 3rd–5th grade)
  • Week 3: July 7–11 (Rising 9th–12th grade)
  • Week 4: July 14–18 (Rising 6th–8th grade)
  • Week 5: July 21–25 (Rising K–2nd grade)
  • Week 6: August 4–8 (Rising 6th–8th grade)
  • Week 7: August 11–15 (Rising 3rd–5th grade)

Cost:

Financial Aid:

We are now accepting Financial Aid applications for Summer Art Camp 2025 scholarships. Please email learn@ashevilleart.org to inquire. The Museum is committed to making our programs accessible to everyone, regardless of economic means.

Please Note: 

  • Enrollment is not confirmed until class registration and payment are received. Places are reserved on a first-paid, first-admitted policy.
  • The Asheville Art Museum reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient registration. In such cases, all registrants will be contacted and promptly issued a full refund.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to you within two weeks of receipt of your registration form and payment.
  • Refund Policy: It is the Museum's policy to refund class registration fees up until two weeks prior to a child's entry into the class, minus a $15 processing fee. The processing fee deduction increases to $30 for cancellations made within two weeks of the start date. No refunds are made after sessions begin.
