Gala 2020

Join us for our annual gala and celebration of the new Museum’s one-year anniversary! We have reimagined this event to provide a variety of options, so you can celebrate with us in the way that is most comfortable for you. No matter how you choose to participate, you will be supporting the Museum’s vital work of providing lifelong opportunities for education and enrichment through the visual arts.

Dinner and Music

To kick off our celebrations, we are hosting two private, socially distanced dinners. For each event, you are invited to join our executive director and curators for a tour of our current exhibitions and enjoy a three-course dinner in the Windgate Foundation Atrium provided by our café partner, Food Experience. Live music by local bands will accompany the dinner portion of the evening.

Tickets at Sponsor levels are available for the following evenings:

Saturday, November 7, 6:30–9:30pm

Live instrumental music will play for your enjoyment during the Auction Preview.

Tickets for this event are available for the following times:

Virtual Live Auction | FREE

Saturday, November 14, 7–8:30pm

Marking the official one-year anniversary of the Museum’s reopening, this virtual event features a live and silent auction, performance art, entertainment, and special guests. Brunk Auctions will lead live bidding on a number of exciting items. Even if you are not able to bid, you will want to tune in to play our live auction trivia and be entered to win a special prize! We encourage you to spend the evening with your best quarantine buddies for the main event in our series of celebrations and support the Museum from the comfort of your home!

Attending the Virtual Live Auction is free, but please consider making a donation to the Museum in lieu of a ticket purchase.

Details on bidding are coming soon!

The Museum is following all guidelines issued by state and local governments. In the event of a resurgence of COVID-19, we will make every effort to reschedule dinner dates and set up an alternate Auction Preview. If we are unable to reschedule, your sponsorship or ticket purchase will be considered a 100% tax deductible donation to the Museum. Sponsorships and tickets are nonrefundable.

Annual Benefit Events

As a nonprofit organization, the Museum relies on the generous support of our community members. Without you, we couldn’t do what we do—offer exciting exhibitions and engaging programs throughout the year.

The Museum hosts a number of popular benefit events each year including an annual gala, our popular Urban Loft & Art Tour, and our newest fundraiser, Art Party.

The Museum’s gala is our biggest event of the year. Featuring a cocktail reception, sit-down dinner, and live auction, this event brings together some of the Museum’s most dedicated supporters and celebrates all the Museum has to offer—from world-class exhibitions to engaging programs for children, teens, and adults.

This highly anticipated event provides our Members and supporters the opportunity to visit some of Asheville’s most stunning lofts and to view private art collections. Volunteer tour guides lead guests on a walking tour of Asheville, discussing places of historical significance and stopping in private residences along the way. The tour ends with a reception where guests have the chance to mingle with some of the loft owners while enjoying a drink and hors d’oeuvres.

This dynamic new "fun"-raising, fundraiser event features live music, dancing, art installations, and performance art. Guests will also enjoy light food and drink, a silent auction, and raffle.
