Join us for a conversation in the exhibition Flora Symbolica focused on Kirsten Stolle’s 2016 collage, Chemical Bouquet, with the artist and the Museum’s Associate Curator Jessica Orzulak.
Stolle is an Asheville-based multidisciplinary artist working in collage, text-based images, and installation. Her research-driven practice, at the intersection of art, science, and culture, examines the global influence of agrichemical companies on our food system. Stolle often appropriates corporate advertising strategies and aesthetics to highlight the contradiction between public image and facts.
