Drop into our Studio to experiment freely and collaborate using different materials, tools, and techniques! We encourage attendees to visit a chosen artwork in the galleries for inspiration, then head to the studio to create. All ages and abilities are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult).
FEATURED MAKERSPACE
October’s Makerspace invites visitors to make a mini mountain landscape magnet inspired by the on-view exhibition “Honoring Nature.” Each participant will create a small work of art based on the Appalachian Mountains that surround us. Participants will be encouraged to explore multiple mediums as they make a tiny piece of art which will be mounted on a magnet to display!
MEET THE TEACHING ARTIST
Nate Barton is an artist who teaches art, mostly to middle school students. He works in multiple mediums, primarily in landscape works. He lives with his wife and two boys in Fairview. He can be found at Nate Barton Works.
