Drop into our studio to experiment freely and collaborate using different materials, tools, and techniques! Visit a chosen artwork in the galleries for inspiration, then head to the studio to create. All ages and abilities are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult); no reservations are required.
Makers will have the opportunity to construct their own stamps out of recycled materials to explore texture, later using the stamps to play with vivid colors and create patterns. Makers are encouraged to visit Sherrill Roland’s exhibit Sugar, Water, Lemon Squeeze to view the ways patterns can be used to explore social justice issues. Makers are encouraged to view the exhibition Too Much Is Just Right: The Legacy of Pattern and Decoration on the third floor galleries for inspiration.
