Join us for a day trip to Winston-Salem, NC, to enjoy a day filled with American art, good food, and great company! Discover the Reynolda House Museum of American Art’s special exhibition Frederic Church: A Painter’s Pilgrimage on an exclusive private tour with Ken Myers, Curator of American Art at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The exhibition features more than 50 paintings and studies that Church – who specialized in dramatic, large-scale views of well known but remote places that few people had seen for themselves – completed during and after his 1867-1869 trip to the Near East, Rome, and Greece. After a tasty lunch at the Graylyn Estate, continue with a guided tour of Reynolda’s renowned collection of fine and decorative American arts, stroll the estate’s flower and vegetable gardens, or explore the unique shops in Reynolda Village.
