Ken Davies (1925- ) was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He is known as one of the nation's best still life artists. Davies' work is featured in advertisements, and he was commissioned to do five commemorative U.S. postal stamps. He has participated in group and solo exhibitions around the United States. His work is in the permanent collection of many corporations and museums, including Detroit Institute of Arts, General Mills Inc., the Smithsonian Institute, and the New Britian Museum. Davies was the Dean of the Paier School of Art in Hamden, Connecticut from 1958-1978.
