Yaffa Todd (1951 - ) was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. She attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1967, and she received a BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art in 1973. In 1977, she earned an MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she was a Graduate Assistant to Mark Peiser.Sikorsky-Todd was the Resident Glass Artist at the Art Park in Lewiston, NY, from 1977 to 1980, where she designed and built their glassblowing facility. She taught at the Penland School of Crafts in 1978, and she taught at Goddard College in 1979. Her works are in the collections of the Glasmuseum in Denmark, the Haaretx Museum in Israel, the Kestner Museum in Germany and the Hickory Museum of Art. The artist lives in Burnsville, NC. Of her work, Sikorsky-Todd wrote, "Nature is my inspiration. I use nature as an impulse, blending my feelings and fantasies. I add and delete as I deem necessary to achieve a piece that will evoke a feeling of wonder and intrigue."
