Self-Guided Tours for Pre-K–12 Student Groups

Self-Guided Tours for Pre-K–12 Student Groups

The Museum welcomes instructors to guide their students through our galleries independently. Groups with 10+ visitors must be divided into smaller groups of 10 or fewer individuals before entering the galleries. Pre-K–12 groups need at least one chaperone for every 10 students.

Self-Guided Tours take place during the Museum’s open hours; at least two weeks' advance booking is required. Group leaders should complete the tour request form by clicking the button below.

Self-Guided Tours for pre-K–12 students are $5/pre-K-12 student. Groups may also add a Self-Guided tour activity, such as a scavenger hunt; group admission is $6/pre-K-12 student with an added tour activity. One chaperone is free per 10 students, with additional chaperones charged the student rate. Some restrictions apply. The Museum will invoice the group contact via email. Payment may be made via credit card, check, or cash. Check must be payable to The Asheville Art Museum.

Please note that Museum-scheduled tours take priority over self-guided groups; your first choice of date and time may not be available due to gallery space constraints.
