Spotlight: Public Tours

October 30, 2019

Want to have a little extra guidance when you visit the Museum? Would you like to learn more detailed information from our docents or staff? Join a public tour! Our public tours last about an hour, and one can attend tours about our Collection or special exhibitions. Plus, they are free for Museum members or included with Museum admission.

Perhaps you remember this spotlight post about our docent program? Well, many of our tours are led by Museum docents, and they’re just as enthusiastic to lead tours as visitors are to take them. Master Docent Doris Potash shares, “Whether you are a first time visitor or a long time member our docent led tours will help you make the most of your visit – getting comfortable with the layout and taking time for a closer look at new acquisitions and old favorites.”

There are six public tours currently scheduled in November and December:

Appalachia Now!
November 14, 2019 at 6pm

Discovering Art
November 23, 2019 at 2pm

Appalachia Now!
November 30, 2019 at 2pm

Intersections in American Art
December 14, 2019 at 2pm

Appalachia Now!
December 21, 2019 at 2pm

Discovering Art
December 28, 2019 at 2pm

We hope you’ll join for one of the above (or one yet to come). No need to make reservations, just come to the Museum and tag along on a fun, educational public tour.
