EXPLORING THE CREATIVE PROCESS

This workshop series for adults explores the fundamentals and tools of three artistic media: drawing, watercolor painting, and printmaking. Designed for creatives, non-creatives, and aspiring creatives of all levels, class projects encourage students to experience and benefit from the creative process both individually and as a group.

Instructor Ken Hillberry has been teaching art and creativity to adults for over 30 years. His teaching philosophy is to foster engaging, experiential, practical, and supportive environments for the lifelong learner that tap into each individual’s unique creativity.

Space is limited; pre-registration is required. Cost for Museum members: $45/any 1 workshop, $85 any 2 workshops, $125 all three workshops; cost for non-members: $55/any 1 workshop, $105 any 2 workshops, $155 all three workshops (includes materials; a materials list can be provided for those who prefer to bring their own supplies). Adult Studio

The Museum's studio program for adults offers a core curriculum in drawing, painting, printmaking, and three-dimensional media, and also explores the intersections between them. Local and visiting artists help students of all levels and abilities develop skills in media that reflect techniques and themes featured in the Museum’s Collection and special exhibitions. Classes meet for 3–12 weeks, and are designed for anyone interested in exploring specific media in depth; daylong workshops introduce new media or processes.
