The Museum is always on the lookout for volunteers. These are great opportunities for those who are passionate about the Museum to share their enthusiasm with our visitors and patrons.
Docents give tours to Museum visitors, primarily for school-aged and student groups but also for groups of all ages, from across the country and around the world. Click here to learn more.
The Museum offers internships for current undergraduate and graduate students, and recent graduates. Click here to learn more.
Our Visitor Services volunteers greet visitors, assist with admission, ticket, and merchandise sales; answer questions and provide guest information; and monitor the galleries and the Museum Store.
Event volunteers work with Museum staff to organize, promote, set-up, monitor, and/or clean-up special events at the Museum. Events include exhibition openings/previews, walking tours, social events (TOAST Asheville, Museum Gala), and more. Events are a great way to share information about the Museum with visitors and to meet other arts enthusiasts in the Asheville area.
Education volunteers work with the Learning + Engagement staff to assist with programs for families, adults, and educators.
