Join Benjamin Dimmitt, author of An Unflinching Look: Elegy for Wetlands, and Alison Nordstrom, independent photography curator, scholar and writer, on a conversation about the impact of our changing climate and rising sea.
Dimmitt’s book is an examination of a unique North American ecosystem in decline, investigated through 85 duotone photographs, scientific analysis and critical interpretation. He photographed in one Florida wetlands area for more than 35 years and has devoted the last eight years to documenting the impact of our changing climate and rising sea levels on a remote spring fed estuary. By combining photographs from his archive with his recent work, he dramatically lays out what has occurred to these pristine wetlands and, more importantly, points towards what lies ahead.
