Alpha Andrews

Alpha Andrews (1932- ) is a contemporary American folk artist who was born in Habersham County, GA. Besides being an artist, she has also worked as a nurse assistant, opened her own hair salon, was ordained as a Minister for an Independent Church, and ran a craft shop in a flea market. Her art was first formally shown at the Lyndon House in Athens, GA in 1990. Since then, her art has been accessioned to many permanent collections including the American Folk Art Museum.
