Heinz Kossler (04/30/1954 - ) was born in Germany. He moved to Asheville, North Carolina in 1981. He is primarily a painter and a ceramicist and originally worked as part of a workshop producing work for commercial buildings. In 2000 his work was shown at The Semi-Public Gallery in Asheville. The show was named, "Working the Cross: Advice for Young and Old." For Kossler the cross is a symbol of compassion and life. He now concentrates on ceramic tile work for fine fireplaces, walls, pathways and other unique applications.
