Pablo (Paul) Esteban O'Higgins (03/01/1904-1983) was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a muralist, fresco painter, and lithographer whose work often reflected social and political issues in Mexico. He was a member of the League of Revolutionary Artists of Mexico and a student of the muralist Diego Rivera. O'Higgins had his first exhibition in New York City in 1931. In 1937, his works were exhibited at the ACA Gallery, and in 1942 at the Associated American Artists. He lived and worked in Mexico City. His art is part of the permanent collection of the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art in Texas, the Marion Koogler McNay Art Museum in Texas, the Tacoma Art Museum in Washington, and the San Diego Museum of Art in California.
