Holiday Arts Extravaganza
DECEMBER 27, 28 + 29
1:00 – 4:00 p.m. each day
For Students in Grades 1 – 4
$18 per day for Members
$20 per day for non-members
Join us for one or more afternoons of art-filled fun! Campers spend their time creating art of all kinds. All supplies and a snack are provided. Students are encouraged to wear clothes that can get messy. Pre-registration is required.
Visit Today: The Art PLAYce for Children
An exciting initiative of the Museum’s recent Art works PRIMED interim expansion is the Art PLAYce, a hands-on art space for children and families. This family art center expands the Museum’s already vital educational programming. The Art PLAYce is a dynamic 1,600 square foot addition to the Museum that provides a new opportunity for the children of WNC to grow and learn through hands-on, interactive art activities. Open daily, the Art PLAYce is self- guided and open during Museum hours for families to enjoy as part of their Museum visit. This initiative offers an array of art-based and art-making activities for children, including three-dimensional building activities based on local architecture as well as interactive installations based on artworks in the Museum’s Permanent Collection, and new, art-based curriculum.

Seasonal Family Days
Family Days are offered 2 to 3 times a year in conjunction with the Museum’s exhibitions. Activities usually include guided exhibition tours, a hands-on studio project for children and adults and refreshments. Summer Art Camp
Summer Art Camp is offered to rising K through 12th grade students. Enrollment is limited and pre-registration is required. Registration includes admission to the Museum and all materials necessary for each class. Classes are held in the studio of the Museum’s East Wing. Students may sign up for morning, afternoon or all-day sessions. All-day students will have a supervised lunch break.

Enrollment is not confirmed until class registration and payment are received. Places are reserved on a first-paid, first-admitted policy. The Asheville Art Museum reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient registration. In such cases, all registrants will be contacted and promptly mailed a full refund. A written confirmation will be sent to you within two weeks of receipt of your camp registration form and payment. It is Museum policy to refund class registration fees up until two weeks prior to a child’s entry into the class minus the $15 processing fee. The processing fee increases to $30 for cancellations made within two weeks of the camp start date. No refunds are made after camp session begins.
