Fred Danziger (02/24/1946- ) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine arts from 1965 to 1070. He writes that he was educated with the help of the United States Steel Corporation, the Yellow Cab Company, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Danziger's work often reflects the relationship between man, nature and technology. Hence his love of nature and interest in science is evident in his paintings. Danziger’s work has been exhibited at the James Gallery, Pittsburgh, PA, The Art Institute of Philadelphia, Rodgers LaPelle Galleries, Philadelphia, Sherry French Gallery, New York City and Bruce Lewin Gallery, New York City. He has received numerous awards such as the Cresson Travel Scholarship, the Tiffany Foundation Grant and the Mary Butler Prize Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Danziger’s paintings are in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Woodmere Art Museum, Philadelphia, Noyes Museum, Oceanville, NJ, Wichita Art Museum, Wichita, KS and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
